In Enshrouded, Ammonia Glands are a valuable resource used to upgrade your Flame Altar and craft some high-tier equipment. Here’s how you can get them:
Location:
You can only find Ammonia Glands within the Shroud, specifically in the Umber Hollow region located in the Kindlewastes. This area unlocks after upgrading your Flame Altar to Level 4.
Method 1: Killing Large Red Mushrooms:
These monstrous mushrooms with red pustules on their sides are your primary source of Ammonia Glands.
Each kill drops 4-6 Glands, and some may leave behind Shroud Sacks too.
Aim for the red pustules with ranged weapons to potentially break them off for extra Glands before killing the creature.
Use caution, as they can be strong opponents and leave a poisonous cloud upon death.
Method 2: Exploring Umber Hollow:
Look for smaller mushroom growths and other creatures within Umber Hollow.
They may occasionally drop Ammonia Glands as well, though in smaller quantities.
Farming Tips:
Visit Umber Hollow and kill the Large Red Mushrooms, collecting their Glands.
Consider using Flint Arrows to shoot off the pustules for more Glands per kill.
Once cleared, leave the area and rejoin your game (restart) to reset enemy spawns and farm again.
There are specific locations within Umber Hollow with high concentrations of these creatures, like the area just southwest of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire.
Some players recommend using flame water and exploiting enemy AI to farm efficiently on a specific rock near the Amber Hollow entrance. However, this approach might exploit game mechanics, so use at your own discretion.

Remember to loot the enemies after defeating them to collect the Glands.
Be aware of the poisonous clouds left by deceased Large Red Mushrooms.
